Do you dream of learning to play the violin or piano beautifully? Do you want to play just for fun, or do you want to take lessons very seriously and do competitions and perform? Either way, you've come to the right place! Here's a little about me: Jenae is an active member of the American String Teachers Association and regularly attends conferences on violin and pedagogy such as the Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies at the Juilliard School in NYC, and the ASTA National Conferences. She has a thorough understanding of pedagogy and a true passion for teaching students of all ages and abilities. Jenae's students play in youth orchestras and chamber ensembles in the Boston Metro area such as the New England Conservatory Youth Orchestras, the Rivers School Conservatory Youth Orchestras, the Rivers Conservatory Chamber Music Program and the Clafflin Hill Youth Symphony. Her students have won concerto competitions and many participate in the American Teachers Association Certificate of Advancement Program annually. Jenae holds at least two recitals each year for her private students. Jenae performs regularly with orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the Boston area. She is a violinist in the Boston Amaryllis Quartet and, the Cape Ann Symphony and the Rivers Symphony. Jenae won scholarships to study at the Longy School of Music, completing her Master of Music degree in Violin Performance with Emphasis in String Pedagogy with Professor Mark Lakirovich, and also earned her Undergraduate Diploma in Violin Performance with Professor Janet Packer. In addition to her musical studies, Jenae completed her Bachelor's of Music Degree from Emerson College. Jenae is on the violin, viola and chamber music faculty at the Rivers Conservatory and has a private studio. Jenae's hobbies include yoga, learning foreign languages, and learning other instruments.
