    I am Jayson Gallios, a life long Las Vegas resident with over 10 years of guitar experience, playing in all styles of music with a primary focus in Classical Guitar. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Applied Classical Guitar Performance degree, studying under the world renowned Ricardo Cobo, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). If you are wanting to learn guitar, or improve on your current playing abilities, I can help you achieve your goals in a fun yet focused learning environment. -= Guitar Lesson Overview =- Beginners: - If this is your first time playing guitar, we will first go over the fundamentals of guitar (i.e. parts of the guitar, styles of guitar playing, different kinds of guitars) - If you do not yet have a guitar, have no fear! I have student guitars in my studio. We can also discuss picking out a first guitar. I recommend discussing guitar purchases during our first lesson if you have any doubt about what to buy. I can even go with to help you pick out your first guitar at the store! - Learning fundamentals of guitar playing (strings, tuning, strumming, open chords) - Learning the notes of the fret board - Learning to read music - Having FUN! Advancing players, intermediate and beyond: - Sight Reading practice - Picking out repertoire (What music would you like to play?) - Learning Scales (in all positions, initially starting within 1 octave) - Learning Modes - Development of finger independence - Development of music fundamentals - Learning Chord Progressions -= Piano Lesson Overview =- Note: If you do not have a piano, I have one in my home studio. Beginners: - If this is your first time playing a piano I will introduce you to the fundamentals. - Introduction to all the notes on the piano - Learning to read music - Having FUN! Advancing players/Intermediate: - Sight Reading practice - Picking out repertoire (What music would you like to play?) - Learning Diatonic Scales - Development of finger independence - Development of music fundamentals - Learning Chord Progressions
