For many (including myself), there are aspects of the piano that can be a little daunting. There are those who "play by ear," and those who are strong "readers." I tend to resemble the former, but because of this, I have developed several tools for those who (like I have) may struggle with sight-reading. With that said, if you are looking for a teacher that can strongly help you in improvisation, composition, and ear-training, I am that guy. But if you are also looking for a teacher to help you learn the tools for sight-reading and exploring basic piano technique, you have also come to the right place :-)!

Greetings musician!

My name is Jason R. and I am a recent graduate at Bowling Green State University with a Master of Music Performance in Jazz Studies (May 2014). I'm primarily a jazz saxophonist, however, I have a Bachelor's of Music Performance in Classical Saxophone and double in flute and clarinet playing. I'm also the Minister of Music at New Covenant Church International where I sing, play piano, and assist in leading our NCCI choir. I'm well versed in music theory, aural skills, composition, and arranging. I look forward to working with you as we explore your musical desires!

Jason is very accommodating and very interested in helping my son improve his skills and knowledge of the clarinet.
