I feel most comfortable teaching Classical but can also teach Blues, Ragtime and Jazz.

Lesson Details

I am a firm yet very flexible teacher. I stress techniques, theory and posture during the lessons. Yet I know that each student is different and will grow at their own pace. For every new student simple exercises will be given so that the student can grow accustomed to playing the piano. As a piano player you have to have immense control over your fingers so building the necessary strength is crucial to most long term goals.

The actual context of the lesson vary depending upon what the ... student desires. Some students want to play rock, some classical. Students will enjoy playing when they enjoy the music they are playing.

I have been playing the piano for over 25 years, In college I had a affinity towards music history and musical theory. I began teaching beginning students at my teachers studio. It was an unreal experience, being able to see the light come on as students began to understand and grow with the love of music. I enjoy teaching any level of students. All ages welcome.
