    My lessons embrace the gentle approach with beginners. I encourage them to be fastidious about their own playing as regards to their personal goals and needs. I use methods that embrace both rote and sight singing while encouraging musical literacy and theory. This includes the violin tradition of scales, arpeggios and etudes as appropriate.     My name is Jared and teaching has been a passion of mine for years. I began with classical training and adapt this to the varied methods currently available. I've been teaching privately since 1973, and teach many styles including Suzuki and other methods. Throughout the years, the many styles I've encountered enables me to meet each students particular needs. This approach enhances motivation for learning and inspiration for future goals.
