Hi! My name is James and I'm a musician and English major at CSU Long Beach. I have over 10 years experience playing trumpet, 6 years playing drums, and 3-4 years playing guitar and bass. I also have knowledge of theory and how to read music. I have been teaching music locally for almost three years now and am able to teach drums, guitar and bass, and trumpet to an advanced level. I am definitely best with teaching kids - I am currently an English Education major at CSULB and am pursuing my teaching credential for elementary age students. With that being said, I have worked extensively with children and have a well-rounded knowledge of teaching them multiple subjects, including music and English. With that being said, I am also available for tutoring English, including reading, writing and SAT prep. Drums are understandably tricky to teach, since it requires two drum kits.
