    About Jameka G.

I hold a BA in Music from Rutgers University. I am classical symphonic composer, flautist, and jazz improvisation flautist. I play and teach all of the flutes of the flute family bass, alto, concert flute and piccolo. I am a faculty instructor and guest conductor to the Universal Community Engagement Program at the Philadelphia Clef Club Jazz Institute on Avenue of the Arts. I teach classical technique and mechanics as well as different styles of music. I am the only woman to play solo wind instrument in the underground music scene in Philadelphia in all genres of music, jazz, r&b, rock, folk, blues and hip-hop. I teach an all encompassing method of classical music technique and mechanics, while making the art of music joyful, engaging, and fun.
