Dance with Jacqueline L.

Jacqueline was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where she began dancing at the age of ten. Jacqueline received her training at some of Los Angeles' prestigious dance studios, such as, Millennium Dance Complex and The Edge Performing Arts Centre, studying from various leading choreographers in the industry. She continued her dance study and training throughout high school and college, becoming a member of different dance programs and their companies. Throughout her studies, Jacqueline worked as a freelance dancer, working regularly with choreographer Janet Roston on various dance projects, which included being a featured dancer for four years in DanceHeads videos, one being for the DVD release of the movie "Kickin' it old Skool", and in corporate shows for Jose Cuervo. She's appeared on shows such as Good Day LA dancing for Crunch Gym as well as MTV India in Sammy Chand's "Dil Mungdi". She remained working whilst attending Santa Monica College where she went on to receive her Associate's degree in dance in 2011. After receiving her degree, Jacqueline moved overseas to Sydney, Australia in 2011, where she continued on with her commercial dance career. In her two years in Australia, Jacqueline gained professional experience in the dance industry working with choreographers Jason Gilkinson, The Squared Division, and Marko Panzic, performing with artists such as Ricky Martin, Jessie J, Flo Rida, Jason Derulo and Basement Jaxx. She performed as a regular back-up dancer for Australian artists Timomatic, Ricki Lee and Jessica Mauboy, performing in their music videos, tours and live shows. She has also appeared on shows such as, The Voice, X-Factor, The Logies, The Arias, Everybody Dance Now, State of Origin, The Footy Show and Sunrise. She can also be seen as a featured dancer on TV commercials for KFC's Cricket Big Bash, Everybody Dance Now and Australia's Next Top Model. In addition to television work Jacqueline has performed in corporate events for international companies such as Coca-Cola, Jim Beam and Toyota. Jacqueline moved back to Los Angeles, California in the summer of 2013 and is a performer with one of Los Angeles' leading dance agencies, McDonald-Selznick Associates (MSA). Since moving back she has appeared in a national UGGS Australia campaign, danced back up for Fifth Harmony on The X Factor, performed overseas in Dubai for the Royal Wedding under the direction of Amy Tinkham and Lindsay Nelko, and shot music videos for Disney star, Bella Thorne, as well as international recording artist Gil Semedo. She is currently looking forward to dancing backup for Rihanna in this summer's The Eminem x Rihanna Monster Tour. *** LESSON DETAILS *** I am a fun, passionate, hardworking person that puts care into everything I teach. Whether you've just started dancing, want to practice perfecting your art or need performance and audition tips, I believe to have the tools to help you. My lessons vary, depending on what goal is being achieved, usually focusing on strengthening and stretching, technique building exercises, choreography and performance. Levels: Beginner - Advanced *** STUDIO EQUIPMENT *** I'm happy to rent professional studio space, but would need to be booked well in advanced due to high demand. Having studio space will allow us to learn in a environment that has ample room, proper flooring and mirrors. In order to cover the studio rental fees, there would be an increase in lesson price for that day. *** TRAVEL EQUIPMENT *** I provide music and portable speakers.
