I am a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist for local rock band Vigilante Summer. I've been playing guitar for 8 years, my early training was focused on improvisation, ear training, and technique. I want to help students gain more than just confidence and technical precision at their instrument, I want to help inspire the next generation of musicians. My personal music training has taken many twists and turns over the years, some of it involving formal training, but much of it coming in the form of hands on experience. I am willing to completely personalize your lessons, so that you learn just what you want to learn. If you don't want to spend time on theory but would rather just learn some rock and roll, then I'll get you playing songs in no time. If you want to focus solely on musicianship, being able to hear parts and play them, improvisation and band skills, then we will. I think of music as passion, not a hobby. I personally have dedicated my life to my art, but I completely respect both the dedicated music student, as well as the casual player.
