I am an experienced piano and guitar teacher of 17 years delighted to teach eager students! While I focus on building a strong foundation of piano and guitar skills, I structure my lessons so students can learn in a relaxed environment by using the right methods and books. My main goal is to make my students feel good about themselves and feel comfortable at all times, without judgement or pressure during any lesson. This strategy has been working well over the years. It also makes students achieve more and be passionate about what they play! I typically use Alfred's Basic Books: Lesson, Technic, and Theory books. I also provide my students with a homework sheet that explains what we have been focusing on, what they have achieved, and things to expect/prepare for the next lesson. I have recently started tutoring online lessons and it has been working very well. I also host an exciting virtual recital annually! This is where students have an opportunity to showcase their hard work through the music that they have been working on over the year.
