My name is Gillian F. and I have been playing the trumpet for almost 15 years. I would very much like to share my knowledge and understanding of performing music of all genres in all types of situations. I received my Master of Music in trumpet performance in May 2014 from the Cleveland Institute of Music and I received my Bachelor of Music in trumpet performance in 2012 from Indiana University Bloomington’s Jacob’s School of Music. Because of these degrees, I am also very knowledgeable of music theory, and I am officially proficient in piano by both institutes. I have extensive experience working with children in an educational environment as I have taught trumpet as well as ice skating. My mother is a teacher and I have logged many hours helping out in her classroom. I was recently an aupair in France; therefore, as well as learning from the experience of living with two little boys for three months, I can also speak and write conversational French.
