    About George W.

Music Instruction is the art of helping people demystify music and cultivate the techniques to accurately and beautifully express themselves. It's also showing someone how to strum campfire chords on a guitar and making them laugh in the process. I have over 10 years of teaching experience in a one on one or small group setting and I have had the most success with students above the age of 10 and below the age of 100. Yes, You can learn an instrument. No, You're not too old. Learning to play music is like learning a trade craft, such as masonry. You need hands on experience and practice, and while YouTube and DVD's can be great assets for the self motivated student they are no replacement for real person to person tutalage. Two very big aspects to becoming a good player are technique and interpersonal interaction. As in learning how to hold the instrument properly to help ease of play, and not damage yourself, and learning how to have a musical conversation. I do private instrument lessons on acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and ukulele. I also provide instruction in music theory, composition, songwriting, and orchestration.
