Specialized in one-to-one teaching, classical style and technique. I have also taught opera performance, opera ensemble and vocal ensemble.

Lesson Details

I teach classical vocal technique. I approach the voice from a "natural sound" perspective. To help develop a voice, I work on the following three aspects of singing:
1. breathing technique
2. a thorough understanding of the vocal instrument, how it works and how to train it
3. learning the music and applying proper diction in the main (operatic) languages
I teach all classical styles, from opera to church music to Broadway. I do not teach contemporary or popular music such as R&B, hiphop, ... jazz, folk, etc. Thank you for respecting this notion if you sign up to take lessons with me.

Francisca was born in Argentina but grew up in Belgium, where she started her musical education at the age of 5. She attended the Royal Conservatorium in Brussels and obtained a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Arts. She continued her training at the University of Texas at Austin, from which she received the degree of Doctor in Musical Arts in Voice Performance in 2002. Francisca works as a free-lance soloist in a vast repertoire comprising many genres. Her concerts have taken her ... all over Europe, Russia and the United States. She has been teaching voice, opera and vocal ensemble for 10 years to people from all ages. Her versatility allows her to approach different kinds of music as well as to work with students in light of their individual goals.
