Hello my name is Fernando. I was an educator for The Fresno Unified School District in California for 9 years and was a entrepreneur for 10 teaching guitar, bass guitar, and music theory. I studied music at The Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA. I'm an entertaining teacher making learning fun and beneficial. My students learn fast and retain what they learn. Everyone learns differently so my classes are tailor made to be beneficial to every student. *** Lesson Details *** I have a strict/relaxed approach. Technique and practice is strict but at the same time my classes are relaxing simply because I believe stress inhibits the learning process. With me you will learn the basics of the guitar such as the names of the strings, finger placements using exercises focused on patterns. In as little as a month you will be learning to play one of your favorite songs as you learn chords, music theory, reading music, arpeggios and scales . I start the student out on their level and incorporate it into music theory by teaching the chords, scales and arpeggios in the modes in which they belong.
