My name is Evan J. and I have been playing, and studying music for 10 years. I enjoy teaching and sharing the knowledge of music with others. My main goal is to bring back the real talent in music. by showing all my students how to learn and study the best music in the world. I am advanced in music theory, ear training, right hand and left hand techniques, cover songs, song writing and much more. I am here to help you achieve all your goals and play music that you have always dreamed of playing. Private bass and guitar music instructor for 12 years. Currently teaching 20 in home lessons. I am also composing and recording my own albums, and working with multiple up and coming artists. *** Lesson Details *** When you come to take a music lesson with me, we will start with basic techniques including beneficial exercises for the left and right hands to build the correct technique for guitar or bass. Once you are comfortable with the basic technique, we will then move on to scales, chord progression, and ear training. Once the student becomes more advanced, we will then move onto more challenging aspects of music theory. These include soloing, modes, arpeggios, bar chords, and performing. After three months, the student should be playing multiple songs, understand basic theory, and have a good understanding of what it takes to be a musician. After six months, the student should have learned a variety of different styles and techniques and have the ability to write songs. The students progress also depends on how much time they take to practice outside of lessons. I specialize in teaching cover songs in all styles, music theory, and songwriting. I can teach you songs from all your favorite bands. While I am laid back, I make sure the student understands the material before moving onto something new. It is important to be patient and understand that practicing is the most beneficial way to move forward fast in our lessons together, I look forward to taking on any student who has a strong passion for learning music. *** Studio Equipment *** Guitar, amp, recording equipment, Bass, office room w/ seating for parents and students. *** Travel Equipment *** I bring my guitar, bass, cords, tuner, sheet music and amplifiers. I expect my students to provide their own instrument, and cords. *** Specialties *** I specialize in rock, metal, jazz, reggae, funk, classical, jazz, recording, performing and song writing. I use finger-picking, slapping, tapping, picking, chords, and harmony. I also have many cover tunes that I teach students. I have studied many of the best rock bands in the world.
