I first worked as an intern in the librarian and at the end of the internship they offered a position in the library. Due to the nature of the business, we are constantly having to rearrange music, transpose parts, Orchestrate pieces according to the concerts needs.

I have been teaching the piano since 2010. It is easily one of the most important instruments in any ensemble. It exercises both sides of your brain at the same time and even improves problem solving skills!

While we will focus on the foundations of learning the piano, I want them to share my belief in music being fun. My students will learn to play pieces by Mozart, to Gershwin, to The Beatles! My goal is for every lesson to end with a sense of accomplishment!

I am from Panama City, FL. I went to Troy University on a music scholarship in 2009. Throughout my college education I taught several students how to play the guitar, tuba, and euphonium. I was also a music theory tutor. I studied conducting and composition in my last two years of college. I graduated with a degree in music in 2013. I moved to Orlando to start my job as a music librarian for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra where I continue to work.

I have a Bachelor's in Music.
I have been a music instructor since 2007 for ages ranging from elementary education through college and beyond.
I have years of experience in all four families of musical instruments and  ensembles ranging from rock bands, jazz ensembles, musical theater pits, large scale orchestras, marching bands, and concert bands.
