I specialize and rock, funk, and jazz style drum set. I have also studied North Indian Tabla and Glen Velez Technique Frame Drum extensively. I play folk, rock and blues guitar as well as gypsy jazz style ukulele.

The most important aspect of my lessons however, is having fun and MAKING music.
As my students learn new songs or techniques I play with them, on a variety of different instruments, making my lessons more interesting, practical, and exciting. Playing music is about more than knowing all your scales and rudiments, its about listening, exploring, and being creative.
My lessons are easy going and fun, but packed with opportunities for learning, growth and success.
Music is my foundation, motivation, and inspiration. From my first music-making experiences in high school playing drum set student, to my days as a Music Therapy student at the John J. Cali School of Music, I am constantly searching for opportunities to make music and learn more about music.

Throughout college, and following graduation I worked as a private music instructor developing lesson plans and helping my students develop their relationship with music while reaching their musical goals.
As a Board Certified Music Therapist I have also had the great fortune of working with all different kinds of people, from 5 to 100 and from all over the developmental spectrum find ways to make music.
