One of my greatest joys in music is working with students and I look for the approach that will be most helpful to each individual. I love watching a student build confidence and find their unique creative voice as we work together. I teach children as well as adults, (my youngest student is a 6 year old clarinetist, playing on an Eb clarinet and my oldest is a 50 year old computer engineer.) I have worked as a clarinet instructor at Northwestern University where I earned my Masters degree in Performance. I am an active classical and jazz musician in the Chicago-land area and I hold a symphony position with Orchestra Iowa.   *** Lesson Details *** I teach a wide variety of ages and skill levels and greatly enjoy doing so! We will begin by discussing your goals and interests and we will work together to plan how best to reach these goals and focus on areas of music that interest you personally. If you are new to the instrument, I have books and materials to get you started. If you already have some experience with the instrument, we can discuss what styles of music interest you most and work towards them. I work with my students on everything from Mozart to Benny Goodman!
