Understanding what is happening in your music is important. Studies in music theory help not only the way you learn music, but also the way you interpret it!
Graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy (high school) and Westminster Choir College (BM, performance), music has always been my passion! Piano and singing lessons began at a young age -- followed by a few years of trumpet lessons. Organ eventually became my focus as well as harpsichord. I've performed across the United States as well as in England. I feel confident that the many years of lessons I've had myself, paired with my enthusiasm to encourage beginners to take flight will result in a unique and inspiring musical experience.
*** Lesson Details ***
If a student is eager to improve, they must keep focus and be adamant about their practice schedule. It's not always about clocking the most hours, but being 100% dedicated during the time you are actually able to commit to. I expect students to come with their assignments improved upon from the previous lesson. If assignments seem to be too much to handle between lessons, we can devise a more appropriate lesson plan to fit your needs and practice commitment.
