Lesson Details

As a teacher, I'm casual and fun, but I will always push to get the most out of my students. I've never found it necessary to be a strict teacher to achieve results, and I think a comfortable atmosphere is best for learning. I'll always be on your team, and encourage so that you can be the best player you can be. Depending on the student's age, I use different teaching methods. For younger students I like to use the Suzuki method. It's a very clear system that is easy for younger student's ... to digest. Each concept in the Suzuki method is introduced in a logical way that speaks to children. For older students who are beginners, I also like to start with the Suzuki book 1 but introduce more concepts along with the songs and progress to reading music more quickly. Of course, I'm always flexible, and depending on a student's goals, I'm perfectly happy to use different books and methods to achieve results.

Hi! I'm passionate about music and the violin, and love to perform and teach. I really enjoy being a part of the music world, and the violin has taken me to some pretty neat places - recording studios, NYC's town Hall, and a tour across the US. No matter what, making music is fun, and that's what I hope to share with students.
