I teach Celtic harp (not concert harp) in the traditional style (aurally--meaning by ear--so no sheet music!). Learning to play harp is so much fun (and it's also a lot of fun to teach!). I would consider my teaching style to be relaxed, while still helping students to gain skills and confidence. We will move at your pace! I've developed my own teaching techniques for making it a satisfying experience all the way around. Prepare to laugh a lot as you're learning! I believe music should be a soft spot in the lives of any who choose to pursue it. I also do vocal coaching (I was a double major in vocal performance and music education), and have developed my own teaching techniques that are especially focused on overcoming difficult passages, notes, breaks in voice, etc. Having trouble with certain spots in songs? I can certainly help with that, and help you to open your voice up to new possibilities as well. Overall, I truly love teaching music and helping others connect to their own.
