I began playing the cello over twenty years ago in grade school. I soon expanded into other instruments, picking up first the guitar, then the string bass. I continued to play stringed instruments in multiple ensembles through college, but chose piano as my concentration. It was in college that I began professionally teaching and performing. Such varied musical experience has made me a very well rounded musician and allowed me to use diferent approaches and techniques in my teaching. *** Lesson Details *** I always base my teaching style and curriculum on the individual student. I love teaching students who are enthusiastic about learning the complex language of music and wish to be pushed to meet their goals. I also love teaching students who want a more laid back experience, perhaps only wishing to learn a few chords to enjoy playing and singing their favorite songs.
