Bachelor of Music from Belmont University.  Fiddle training with grand Master Fiddler Daniel Carwile, Nashville session player Buddy Spicher, and Fiddler for the Bluegrass band The Steel Drivers Tammy Rodgers King.  Years of professional fiddling experience. 

Lessons will vary based upon student level and aptitude but all will focus on developing strong technique, repertoire and music theory skill development.  

After a few lessons you'll never have to play second fiddle again!

Excellent teacher and musician

Douglas is a brilliant musician who knows how to communicate effectively as a teacher. Most teachers of this instrument favor a single style. Douglas has an understanding of both classical violin and Americana fiddling. He's helped me gain a solid foundation in fiddling while still maintaining solid technique that's essential no matter what style or genre I choose to play. Highly recommended.
