*** Travel Equipment *** I will provide a music stand, books when needed (i.e. supplementary or new material), and manuscript paper for writing out lessons. I expect students to provide chairs that support good posture, music books we have already worked on, a pencil, and their instrument (along with all necessary maintenance supplies; ie reeds, cleaning cloths, etc) *** Specialties *** I am a California and Colorado certified music teacher (B.M. in Music, M.A. in Teaching), currently teaching at East High School in Denver, Colorado. My specialties are woodwind instruments, guitar, and piano. Along with all of these, I will include theoretical elements that will make the music more meaningful. I am passionate about song-writing and theory, so I can also tutor you in these fields. I use a variety of method books and created materials for the various instruments I teach. I will inform students if they need to purchase any books when they sign up for lessons. See the details for each instrument to see what level of students I am currently accepting for each category. My summer availability is pretty open, since I am a school teacher. In the school year, my schedule will revert to evenings and weekends.
