Hello, My name is Don I teach Trumpet & Music Theory and take Pride and Enjoyment in what I do. Specializing in Beginners & Intermediates, from producing the very first note to playing an entire song is a major accomplishment for the student. At the age of 9, I was studying, learning and understanding Music Theory using a method known as the Solfegio before attempting to play my instrument. This method enabled me to develop and understand a sense of Timing, the difference between a Quarter note versus a Half note, Time Signatures, Key Signatures and so on. At the age of 10, I started taking lessons from my Professor, Local Music Stores as well as taking lessons in School. I studied and took lessons from books such as the Arban, which is a Bible for the Trumpet and also books by Domencio Gaitti. As time went on, I payed with various Bands and Accomplished Musicians. Along with my understanding of Music, I was able to teach myself the Organ & Synthesizer and in no time at all I was putting notes together and forming Chords which I also will teach during our lessons together.
