I’m a professional, experienced and enthusiastic guitar teacher working in Manhatten, Queens and other areas of New York City. If you’ve been thinking about getting affordable guitar lessons for you or your child you’ve come to the right place!I hold a MA in Jazz Guitar from the New York University and a BA in Jazz guitar and education from the Prins Claus Conservatory in the Netherlands. I’ve been on the adjunct faculty staff for both university’s and I’ve been teaching private lessons for over 8 years. *** Lesson Details *** I have more than 8 years of experience in teaching. Customization plays an important role in my approach and lesson topics vary with age and interest. I teach a variety of styles (rock,pop, jazz, blues etc.) and techniques.I like to work on developing technical, auditory and sight-reading skills, while at the same time work on the student’s general knowledge of musical styles and theory. Creativity is an important component of music that is not to be left out either.Most importantly, I think learning the guitar and music should be fun, and positive reinforcement is essential! *** Travel Equipment *** I'll bring my guitar and will expect them to have their own instrument. *** Specialties *** I specialize in Jazz guitar but have a lot of experience in any other genre.. pop rock folk etc..
