    Djenane Saint Juste, a native of Haiti, is an accomplished choreographer, dancer, actress and vocalist specializing in Haitian traditional dance and folklore. Djenane has dedicated herself to the research, development, and promotion of traditional Haitian dance, song and storytelling. Djenane also has been trained in Ballet, Hip-Hop, Modern, Jazz and Ballroom at the “Institut de Danse JAKA”. She received a BA in Physical Education and Sports at Cuba’s International School for Physical Education and Sports. She has been teaching dance to young children for over 15 years. With her creative, innovative and nurturing teaching techniques, she inspires children to dance and learn while having fun. Her groundbreaking choreography as well as love of dance and children enhances her teaching capabilities and class management. Djenane’s classes provide an opportunity for students to learn and experience creative movement, dance, music, rhythms, storytelling and languages.

    Djenane is the founder and Artistic Director of Afoutayi Dance, Music and Arts Company based in San Francisco and also the Executive Director of the annual Haitian Dance and Music Festival in San Francisco. Afoutayi received the California Arts Council grants to teach Haitian culture to public schools in the Bay Area and the Zellerbach Foundation grants to produce the fourth & fifth Annual Haitian Cultural Festival in 2013-2014. Djenane teaches kids and adults in French, Creole, Spanish and English. Ms. Saint Juste won the Miss Talented title for her dance performance in "Miss Videomax 2003" in Haiti. She has worked with most of the top Haitian artists, such as Azor, Boukman Experience, Master J, Cytho and Alan Cave, Paula Clermont Pean and Fabienne Denis to name a few. She has appeared in 3 music videos and 1 movie in Haiti. Djenane has worked for World Vision, Union School and the Ministry of Women in Haiti.
