Denali holds a Bachelor's Degree in Percussion Performance from Eastern Washington University where he studied jazz, classical, and various world percussion. As a drumset artist he has performed in dozens of groups ranging from funk big bands to rock, jazz, blues, and country rhythm-sections. He has toured throughout the USA and recorded several albums with bands including Thomas Mapfumo, Uncle Pooch, and Cracker Factory. As a studio performer he has worked with producers including Adam Kasper and Scott Colburn. As an orchestral percussionist Denali is a member of the Tacoma Symphony and Federal Way Symphony and is an "extra" in Northwest Sinfonietta, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, the Bellingham Festival of Music Orchestra, and Auburn Symphony. He has backed artists including Ray Charles, Chicago, Evelyn Glennie, Frederica von Stade, and Al Jarreau. *** Lesson Details *** I emphasize development of fundamentals.
