I received my BA in Music from UCSB and my MA in Humanities (emphasis in music history) from CSUDH. I have been a piano teacher for many years, and many of my students have gone on to become professional musicians themselves. I am a member of MTAC, am a Certificate of Merit adjudicator, and am on the editorial board of the MTAC state magazine. An enthusiastic and encouraging teacher, I enjoy helping my students achieve their musical goals. Home school students and older adults are especially welcomed. *** Lesson Details *** Lessons are personalized for each individual student. Most lessons include ear training, note reading, chord structure, and music history as it relates to the pieces the student is learning. I welcome students of all ages and all levels. *** Studio Equipment *** I have a piano, music books, lessons books, and reference books. *** Specialties *** I incorporate reading, ear training, technique and music history into the lessons.
