I started guitar at age 12 inspired by the Beatles,moved it into the garage for several years and moved up. I studied with a few great teachers including Pat Martino. I got heavy full time into teaching and playing at 25. Music is my life. I have had students in signed bands and I have one now who is touring the world with the Michael Jackson Immortal Tour. I love to help people learn to play and send them towards their dream. I played Dickey Betts for 4 years. I now play with Jaimoe, a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band. We have been together playing for 22 years. I can help a beginner start on the bass or guitar. I can also help someone who has been playing how to sharpen their game,improve their skills and expand their musical boundaries. *** Lesson Details *** I am structured...I try to keep things progressing based on steps of personal successes that build confidence, self esteem and lead to the next step and after that. I teach reading, technique, theory, repertoire, but influenced by the wishes of the student. It is interactive. *** Travel Equipment *** They must have their own instrument and an amp if we are electric. *** Specialties *** Blues, jazz, rock, funk, rhythm and blues.
