My experience as having Mr. David O. as a teacher has been nothing but positive! Not only is Mr. David O. a patient teacher but he also knows that every student is different by taking an interest in each student, which in my opinion is very important, and will do his best to teach them with different methods. His teaching schedule is pretty flexible and also has more than enough experience to teach both saxophone and clarinet. If I hadn't had him as my clarinet instructor, I probably wouldn't have done as many things without his encouragement. Last year as a high school senior, I never even thought of auditioning for anything, let alone for regional band. In fact, I was going to dismiss it until I asked Mr. David O. his opinion of what I should do. He had me go for the sake of receiving audition experience then helped me through my scales and etudes. A couple of months later it’s finally audition day and I got into regional band on my first try, which isn't as common or easy as one would think. As a clarinetist who has been playing for 8 years now, I have never improved as drastically in my music experience as I have with Mr. David O. and recommend him to anyone who has a love of music.
