*** Travel Equipment *** I provide no equipment though I bring a laptop with music to all my sessions. Students simply need a reliable working instrument. *** Specialties *** I can teach a wide range of styles along the 20th century Americana and English folk-rock-pop spectrum- slide guitar to modern alt-country as well as The Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin etc. Blues is definitely a specialty - from Robert Johnston to Hendrix/Zeppelin/Jack White style electric styles. I've been performing in Seattle for the past ten years, notably with The Jellyrollers, a B.B. award winning blues band and Juke, “...one of the more moving bands to come out of the Northwest in recent years”, according to Seattle Weekly Magazine. The Jellyrollers have appeared at Bumbershoot, Folklife Festival, and shared the stage with pop diva KT Tunstall and blues legends Bo Diddley and James Cotton. I've taught privately for the last 10+ years and held workshops and masterclasses at Guitar Center, Dusty Strings, and EMP. I've also composed music for documentaries, short films and licensed music to MTV, NBC and Microsoft.
