As one of the UNCSA Teaching Assistants for Keyboarding, I'm well prepared to start with you at the very beginning. We will cover basic keyboard skills, including: scales, key signatures, chords, sight reading practices, and keyboard theory. We'll also cover hand position, healthy posture, and effective practice technique. 

I believe in shaping each lesson around the specific needs of the student, so I'm prepared to go at your pace!

Hello! My name is Dak Van V.. I am an undergraduate junior at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts studying Music Composition. Previous to UNCSA, I studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I am currently the Teaching Assistant for the UNCSA School of Music's Keyboard Instructor. I have given lessons off and on since high school and am looking for more teaching opportunities outside of the university classroom. After school, I plan to pursue a career composing music for film and Broadway.
