Education  Georgia State University - Percussion Performance study for four years with Jack Bell, Bill Wilder, Paul and Mark Yanchich, Atlanta Symphony members, and Robbie Coleman professional drummer. Completed BBA in management, 1993. I have played in various club bands, orchestra, concert/honor band, drum and bugle corp, percussion ensembles, and original rock and roll bands. I have played since elementary school so by this point, I have many experiences and examples to teach from as I think real life stories can teach a great deal. For the last twelve years, I've played at Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville on the Worship Team. *** Lesson Details *** I want students to enjoy learning and playing. I am easy to get along with and enjoy the teacher - student relationship. The focus of the lesson plan includes reading, rudiments, coordination, technique, and timing with a balance between each of these areas. It is also important to include specific goals of the student with regard to the style of music and areas of interest. Concert Snare, Full set, and a variety of percussion instruments can all be incorporated into the whole learning experience, dependent upon the direction the student wishes to pursue. The lessons will be informative and also fun. *** Studio Equipment *** Lessons will occur in the lower portion of the house (basement). He has an acoustic kit.
