Saxophone with Courtney K.

Courtney has 4 years of experience teaching elementary, and middle school-aged students alto saxophone. Courtney started developing her musical talent through classical piano at the age of 6. When she entered middle school her dream was to play the saxophone, like Lisa Simpson, so she did. Since then she had been exposed to classical and Jazz repertoire. During high school, she joined the marching band and lead the jazz ensemble for four years as first alto saxophone winning awards at festivals around the country. She decided to pursue he passion for music in college and received a Musical Scholarship to Pacific Lutheran University. Here she also played in the University Jazz Ensemble. Currently she performs with friends and at local jazz clubs, but would love to instill confidence in students to achieve their musical goals.
