Holding a PHD in music composition/theory and music history I have a vast knowledge in the subject. My education enables me to teach anything from the most basic concepts in theory to the most advanced, which one would encounter in graduate studies. I have five years of experience of teaching theory and composition at the university level and have taught at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Whether you would like to master your theory and history classes, prepare for entrance exams, or simply learn how to compose, notate, orchestrate or arrange music - I will competently advise and tutor you. Besides my musical education, I am a native speaker of German and have taken several German classes during my university studies in the United States, which not only makes me a highly competent German tutor, but also gave me an insight of what is demanded from American students, when trying to learn the German language.
