Piano with Christine R.

Christine R., a native of Colorado, has been playing and studying music for over 20 years, beginning with piano lessons at age 7 and violin lessons at age 10. While attending The Colorado College for a BA in History, she studied violin with Michael Hanson and was co-concertmaster of the Colorado College Chamber Orchestra. She then went on to complete a masters degree in Theatre Education at the University of Arizona, where she played solo violin in the musical “Quilters” for the Arizona Repertory Theatre. She spent 5 years as a member of the Catalina Chamber Orchestra and also played with the Southern Arizona Symphony. Throughout her musical career, she has taught both piano and violin to students of all ages and levels. For more than two years she volunteered to teach piano to children in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, offering free lessons. She loves sharing the joy of music with others and watching her students progress and grow. She currently teaches piano and violin lessons at Groovin’ on Music in Pasadena and at Music on Main in El Segundo.
