I am a classical singer and pianist from Wisconsin! I started playing music at the age of three on the piano and began voice lessons at 15. While in graduate school in Las Vegas, I started teaching both voice and piano lessons and found how much I loved imparting my knowledge to others and watching them make progress. I have performed leading roles in Operas and soloed in orchestral concerts and recitals. I mainly perform opera/classical but love musical theatre as well. My performing experience has taught me a lot which I am eager to pass on to my students! I have been teaching with Takelessons since my move to NYC in 2011. *** Lesson Details *** As a teacher, I try to create a lesson environment that is relaxed and open but still efficient. I have specific requests for you both in and out of lessons so you can reach your potential. In the first lesson I will assess your needs as a student. You will have fun learning, choosing songs and discovering the joy of performing. I am flexible with the repertoire that you want to work on as long as we can apply the principles we have learned. I work hard to make sure you learn and accomplish the most you can.
