I started teaching myself guitar in the mid 1990's and was so taken by the beauty of the guitar that I quickly formed a rock band in high school and covered a lot of classic rock, blues, and americana music. I attended TCU in Fort Worth Texas and played in the jazz ensemble as well earned two degrees (Bachelors in music and Masters in Music) in classical guitar performance. I've also studied in Madrid Spain with the composer and guitarist Jose Luis Merlin and have performed many of his works. I've taught privately for many years. I also tour the country in a duo ("Chris & Lolly") and we perform original singer/songwriter material that is Americana, classic rock, blues, jazz, and soul music. I play and teach both electric and acoustic material. I also have released several studio records that I wrote and recorded in New York under my name "Chris".

    Experience

    touring guitarist/singer/songwriter/studio guitarist/music teacher

    Apr, 2005 - Present

    Chris Swicegood/Chris & Lolly

I started teaching guitar in the spring of 1999 while still in high school. Over the years I have had many young successful students learn guitar from the ground up many of which knew nothing about music or guitar before starting from lesson number 1. Also, I have toured as a solo artist rock act as well as in as in a americana/blues/rock duo act around the country for many years as a singer/songwriter. I have been a studio guitarist in New York where I also wrote and recorded two albums of my own pop/rock music. One of the records I did session work on went to Platinum status in Poland.
