Music Theory with Chris L.

I graduated from Macalester College, a small liberal arts college in St. Paul Minnesota in 2012. I studied math and music, and dabbled in philosophy and literature. I am very much a big picture person, and I like to show students the reasons and methods behind what they are learning. It makes math and science much more fun when you understand a topic beyond just memorizing the relevant formulas. I tutored for a private company from 2012-2013 in St. Paul, mainly for the ACT, trigonometry, and precalculus. I am a South Jersey native, so I've taken the SAT and know that well, too. No matter what I''m tutoring, I realize every student has a unique learning style, so i tweak my teaching approach accordingly. Outside academics, I love sports (I played soccer in college), music, and am a budding motorcycle enthusiast.
