Lesson Details

My students love to play and they practice because they love to do it, not because they have to. As long as there is a desire and a will, goals will be reached! I keep things fun and achievable, and in doing so tend to drive my students to progress quickly. practice, practice, practice. With work, the sky is the limit. I customize my curriculum student to student to suit personal interest. After 3 to 6 months with me, you can expect to be comfortable writing your own music as prolifically ... as you choose, pouring your emotions into your own custom sounds. I'll give you the tools and set you free to let your imagination run wild.

Hi there! My name is Chris. I'm thirty years old and have been submerged in music since I was five. I play many instruments, sing, and have at least 800 original pieces recorded....My passion for writing new music and sharing my love for sound is deep. Anyone who wants to be an original artist can benefit greatly from my experience. My students get good and they love to play. I've played many live shows in popular venues...(Trocadero, The Silo, Grape Street, Mojo 13, The Khyber, Silk ... City, Rex's, Katmandu, etc.) I've written and recorded with dozens of talented players, some who have extensive major label experience. 8 years of saxophone/sightreading lessons....8 years formal guitar/bass training plus thousands of hours of personal work, 4 years of drum lessons, 2 years keyboard lessons. I have alot of experience with protools recording format, recording techniques, drum and synth programming, band dynamics, dealing with booking agents, leading bands, internet marketing, etc. I am very proficient in time signatures and effects usage. I am trained to compose on demand in any situation on a variety of instruments, both structurally and on an improv basis...I hone this skill many hours a week. Always willing to step outside my box, but my fortes range from hard rock, punk, metal, alternative, hiphop, and experimental. I can play pretty acoustic music too. haha
