Drums with Chris G.

My name is Chris G. and I teach the drum set (all styles/levels) and bass guitar (beginner/intermediate) and also offer tutoring in music theory, music history, conducting, and composition. I have been a musician my whole life and have a Bachelor’s degree in Drum Set Performance from Berklee College of Music, and am currently working on my Master's in Jazz Studies at NYU. I have been teaching privately since 2008. As a student myself, I know how much of a drag it is to sit in a classroom with a teacher who obviously doesn't really care about his/her students. This is why I make an effort to personalize every lesson and cater it towards your interests. This way, students enjoy what they are learning and are willing to put in the time outside lessons to practice and master topics. * I have experience teaching persons with physical and mental disabilities and believe everyone can (and should) study music! *
