I am a working pianist/keyboardist/instructor in the Louisville area. I graduated from the University of Louisville's Jazz Studies Program in December 2013. During my time at UofL, I studied Brazilian music in Sao Paulo and Brasilia for 6 months. My current professional work includes playing in a Soul/R&B group, smaller jazz ensembles, and solo piano for various restaurants/private events. I enjoy playing a wide variety of music, from Jazz and Classical to Pop/Rock music of the past 60 years. I started teaching music privately during my undergraduate degree, and have experience in directing small and large groups as they prepare for musicals, rock shows, wedding dates, song-and-dance competitions, etc. I look forward to teaching students of all ability levels and am comfortable accepting beginning students with no prior experience. For students who already have some playing experience, I have a lot of professional/practical knowledge to offer.
