Born in Atlanta, GA, I began performing vocally and on saxophone, at the young age of 7, and it has taken me all over the world. I discovered a joy for teaching music through creative and fun methods at Lee University in Cleveland, TN (2004-2008) I currently live in the Orlando, FL area and am outgoing, funny, and optimistic. My experience, as a finalist on American Idol, in 2007 ignited a passion to not only perform but to teach. With over 8 years of private teaching experience, I understand that learning happens differently with everyone. Whether you are just beginning or are wanting to reach the next level in your musical career; I am here to help motivate you and give you the tools to reach your personal goals. *** Lesson Details *** My teaching method is laid back, friendly, educational and motivational. In the first lesson I will get to know the student, their goals, personality, and learning style. This enables me to customize a plan that allows students to flourish and learn at an accelerated pace. Whether a voice student is wanting to have more control, power, and extend their range; or just wanting to be more comfortable performing in public, with work and dedication, these are all obtainable goals that, amazingly, can be reached within the first 3 to 6 Months of Lessons. I prefer to teach students not just through learning scales but through applying vocal principles to the songs and music that most interests them. Whatever their favorite style of music we will be learning to apply what is taught in lessons to the actual songs of their choosing, in any genre. This makes learning fun and helps to keep focus and interest alive. Many of these same principles also apply to learning how to play the saxophone! In These lessons you can expect to learn how to read music, develop a solid tone and even improvise by ear! All lesson plans are tailored to get the student making music as quickly as possible so lets get started! *** Travel Equipment *** pay for students music tracks and books *** Specialties *** I specialize in contemporary Vocals (similar to Speech Level) as well as Classical styles of voice such as Bel Canto. My strength is building curriculum based upon the students goals and abilities to enable them to perform the styles and Genres that they are passionate about. Whether It's teaching a student to just match pitch or helping a performer connect with a song to make it a more musical performance. I truly enjoy motivating and educating so that the students obtain the proper tools to accomplish goals.

I sang in chorus for almost two years when I was in high school. People always considered me an okay singer. Never thought to try private lessons. I've been playing guitar for 10 years. Most people consider me an excellent guitarist. About three months ago started playing more acoustic guitar songs with vocals but the vocals just weren't where I wanted them. So I decided to give voice lessons a shot. Chase has been an excellent instructor. He quickly identified my major problem areas and gave me exercises to work on during my first lesson. I started doing the exercises on my commute to work a few days a week. Now I'm only three lessons in and my singing abilities have improved dramatically. When I sing for my friends they are blown away at the progress I've made. I wish I would have started lessons years ago when I was in the chorus!
