All beginning classes include introduction to music theory. This includes notation, clef, time signature, key signature, major/minor scales, and the Circle of Fifths.

Students MUST have own instrument.

In the Beginning Violin class the student will be taught fingering, bowing, scales, sight reading, posture, and stage presence. An emphasis will be given to posture and bowing to, hopefully, correct some bad habits that can form before they occur. Songs will be learned at the pace of the student. The goal is that the student may be able to play most easy-novice music and easily sit down with a beginning orchestra and play

I started tutoring when I was in the Second Grade.  I was part of a group that went to the library and helped teach Kinders how to read.  Since that time I've just continued to help people around me because it seemed natural.  This continued until I was tutoring my friends on their college homework while we were at lunch at our high school.  I have always heard, and continue to hear, "You're really good at breaking things down," and, "When you describe it, it seems simple." 

I love to tutor people because I'm of the mind that there isn't anything that anyone _can't_ do. As long as it's explained in terms the person can understand, there really isn't.
