Cabiria was my studio vocal instructor for three semesters at Binghamton University and I consider myself extremely lucky to have had her for a teacher. She is not only a captivating performer but also an extraordinary vocal coach. I am a Broadway belter at heart and did not think I could ever learn proper classical technique. After struggling for years, I had stopped performing classical pieces because I was not confident enough in my abilities. After working with Cabiria for only a few weeks I discovered that much of the difficulty I had been experiencing was the result of bad habits that I wasn't aware of (such as improper placement, breath support, and pushing). Cabiria transformed me from a alto belter with limited range into a lyrical soprano with a three octave range up to the D6! I would highly recommend her to beginners and professionals alike.

I sing in some community groups and have been singing all my life (not professionally). I decided I wanted lessons because I was feeling like my voice was strained and not flexible. Cabiria was really great. I took a set of 8 lessons. She put me at ease and helped me limber up my voice and increase my range while working on voice placement. She kept it light and fun and still gave me the basis of good vocal technique. I now feel I have tools to work with on my own. I totally recommend her.

An exemplary performer Cabiria is an outstanding performer, musician, and colleague whom I regard as one of the finest people I have had the pleasure to perform with. She is extremely dedicated to her craft and has been noted for her nuanced musicianship. In addition, she is a hilarious person who brings her personality to each character she embodies. I have seen her work as performer and know her as a person off stage, and I truly believe that she is the type of person who is able to communicate to others how they can improve their singing. Cabiria is a person whom I recommend without question, and whom I look forward to singing with for years to come.

    Cabiria J.

After two years singing with companies in New York, Virginia, New Jersey and Arizona, I was thrilled to return to teaching privately in the fall. By combining classical technique with a whole-body, dramatically motivated approach to singing and interpretation, I help students find their best voice!

    Assistant Teacher

    Sep, 2009 - May, 2011

    Binghamton University

As a graduate student and Binghamton University, I taught a full studio of undergraduate students in the University's Musical Theatre department. Several of my students sang lead roles in the department's productions of shows such as "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Threepenny Opera," as well as many student-run productions on campus. My non-major students also enjoyed the benefits of weekly lessons, and came to truly love and rely on the artistic outlet of singing.

As a working singer in Boston, MA, I had private students who ranged from school-aged kids to adult heavy metal singers. Although everyone's specific goals were different, the benefits of classical technique showed in their performances across the board.
