Lacrosse with Brittany H.

I am a senior English education/English major at Duquesne University. Since the fall of 2011, I have been working with students of all ages to assist them with their academic needs. I spend 30 hours in classrooms around the Pittsburgh area each semester and help the teachers work with the students and help them reach their true potential. I have also spent the last three years as a member of the "Best Buddies" program which works with people who have mental and physical disabilities. I played lacrosse in high school and was captain my senior year, recently completed the half marathon, and I am a certified snowboard instructor. I enjoy working with kids and seeing them become motivated after being pushed and inspired which results from unique teaching techniques and strategies.
