I hold a master's degree in music, with an emphasis in music therapy from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. I am a board-certified by a national certifying agency (the CBMT) as a music therapist, with training in neurologic music therapy. I have over 20 years experience as a classically trained pianist. I also play acoustic guitar I have studied voice. I work full time as a music therapist. Consequently, I am able to bring a therapeutic aspect to my lessons in order to fully provide for the needs of my students. *** Lesson Details *** I have multiple years of experience in teaching beginning guitar lessons, traditional piano lessons, and adapted lessons to special needs populations. I have also taught group guitar classes and I have tutored music theory and ear training. Learning to play an instrument should be engaging and enjoyable. Consequently, I incorporate my student's musical preferences and personal goals into the teaching curriculum.
