I have been teaching for 17 yrs. and playing for 36 yrs. I absolutely love to watch the learning process take shape. I get a great deal of joy from teaching and witnessing students pass and achieve greatness. When they overcome what seem like insurmountable odds to them and then perform something flawlessly, especially in a live setting, It just does not get any better than this. I cannot imagine doing anything else with my time. I have a strong ability to connect with each individual student and create a personal lesson plan for each and every unique personality. Depending on the person, I will personally tailor a lesson plan for that individual based on their natural ability, coordination skills, mindset, musicality and overall rhythmic sense. I also try to give each and every student the confidence needed to get up in front of an audience or crowd of people and still perform with elegance and dignity. Just relax and play. That is what it is all about, right, having fun. Let's play. *** Lesson Details *** I have a professional lesson plan in place. I like to teach from literature and also from feeling and hearing the music. I am very amiable and straight forward with my students. I stress very strongly the importance of a good practice routine. With lots of practice you will become a great drummer. But, fun is what everything is all about. If you do not have fun then I have failed. I have never purposely failed, so Lets Go. *** Studio Equipment *** Separate from Home, Separate Entrance, Music studio soundproof, Parents and Friends Waiting area with couch and full view through glass window of drum room where lessons take place. Sound can be piped into waiting area or completely muted. Lesson room has two drum sets and state of the art Audio Equipment set up for beautiful sound production and clarity. I also use video playback with studio quality sound to increase learnability. This has been proven to be a very successful tool in the learning process! *** Travel Equipment *** Sticks, Pad, Snare Drum and Lots of energy! Let's Rock. *** Specialties *** I specialize in Rock, Funk, Punk,Country, Metal. I also teach Jazz, Swing, Latin, Big Band, Afro-Cuban. I focus on three main areas: 1. Reading music 2. Playing with recorded music 3. Rudiments and Stick Control Plus of course proper technique and dynamics. I am also associated with local Middle School and High School Jazz Band and Orchestra Teachers. I can greatly improve your students ability to compete and participate in the Jazz Band, Orchestra or Percussion Classes taught at the Middle to High School level. Let's Swing.

OUTSTANDING INSTRUCTOR As an instructor Brian is patient, consistent and has many angles for reaching students who may be struggling to gain musical concepts. He finds lots of ways for his students to observe professional drummers and opportunities for his students to perform at whatever level they've achieved. The studio is well equipped and comfortable with an great observation area for parents and friends of the student. If you want to learn drumming Brian is the one to contact!

Couldn't be better My son has been taking drum lessons from Brian for several years. We were looking for a teacher that would teach the important stuff like reading music, basic beats, as well as the fun stuff, learning songs. Brian is everything we were looking for. My son loves to play and enjoys going to lessons. Brian has also provided opportunities for his students to attend workshops & concerts put on by celebrity drummers. If your kids want to learn to play drums, Brian is the guy to teach them.
