Ben B. is a musician from Long Island, NY. Growing up, he was actively involved in his school's music department, and performed with various groups including the renowned Nassau-Suffolk Jazz Ensemble. Ben then attended Stony Brook University where he studied both classical and jazz performance, along with composition, theory, and history from professors such as world-class trombonist Ray Anderson. Ben rose to the top of his class, receiving multiple awards for musicianship and academics, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Currently, Ben is living in New York City as a musician and teacher. He plays a variety of string instruments, and maintains small roster of students. As a musician, Ben is actively playing throughout the country with many different groups that range though all styles. Most recently, Ben has returned from an east coast tour, recorded with singer/songwriter Alex Jules, singer/fiddler Erin Slaver, and has performed various venues and events such as: Brookhaven Amphitheater, the Vermont State Fair, the Long Island Music Festival, Jazz on the Vine Winterfest, Barrier Blues Festival, Folk-2-Funk Festival, Jerry Garcia fest, the Bitter End, Miles Cafe, Danford's Hotel and Marina, Columbia University, and countless others.
